So here we are, 2015 is around the corner, literally.
Often when it comes to this time of the year people focus on the 'new year, new start' and only think about the amazing things they have planned for the year ahead. Which of course is exciting but sometimes it's good to reflect on the things you've done this past year and note the achievements you have made rather then all the things that didn't quite go to plan.

So here we go, a quick 6 point list of the things I have done and achieved this year.

This past week I have being feeling very indecisive. Do I cut my hair short? Should I switch up my makeup/skincare? Shall I get a tattoo? (The last one is a little extreme I must admit). So yesterday I felt was the time to switch things up a little from my normal everyday routine.
While I was getting ready I decided to do a  before and after shot so I can share what products I used etc.

I started by washing my hair with the Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine Shampoo and leaving it to dry naturally whilst I did my make-up. When using this shampoo I don't tend to use a conditioner as I find it makes my hair too oily but the shampoo definitely keeps my hair moisturised and looking healthy.

Make-up wise I wore a lot more than usual which was also down to the fact my skin isn't the best at the moment.

For base I used my L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation in the shade N1 followed by Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1. These are my holy grail base products as I find they have a good coverage and the shades match my skin perfectly (and i'm SO pale so that's a plus!).
I then followed this up with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in 001 Transparent to set my base into place.

After this a contoured my cheeks with the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in the shade 01 Light Matte and added a hint of colour to the apples of my cheeks with the Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks in Peach Melba.

Then I simply filled in my brows with the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil in Love is Blonde  and added a few coats of the L'Oreal Paris False Lash Telescopic - Magnetic Black to my lashes. With another dusting of the Stay Matte powder and a swipe of Burt's Bees Hydrating Lip Balm in Coconut and Pear, that was my face finished!

For my hair I sectioned it off into 3 layers, as it's quite thick, and used my CarmenHair Thermal Moisture Lock Multi styler with the thick tong attachment on the end to create soft bouncy curls. Once all the sections were curled I just ran my fingers through my hair quickly to loosen the curls a little and sprayed some Wella Silvikrin Maximum Hold hairspray throughout the whole hairstyle.

I must admit I was pretty happy with the outcome and it made a nice change from the usual.

What do you think? Let me know what you do when you're feeling like a change!

New Camera = Puppy Love

For the longest time I have wanted a new camera as my old FujiFilm Finepix S100fd just wasn't cutting it. It served me well for 6 years but there are just better options about nowadays and i'm pretty sure they don't even sell that model anymore! After what seemed like forever searching and trying to decide exactly what camera I wanted, I went for the easy option and bought a Canon EOD 600D. I've seen lots of people say that's what they use in blog posts etc and have only heard good reviews. I was not disappointed.

Recently I have switched my makeup up a little and thought I would share my favourites with you. I don't tend to wear a lot of makeup throughout the day so a few of these items I would only use for an evening makeup look - where as others are items are wear daily.

Recently, I have been trying extremely hard to look after my skin better and find a skincare routine that works well for me. With a little help from bloggers such as Caroline Hirons, I have found a routine that works well for me at the moment. It's not perfect but I think everyone is always looking for that product that could be just a bit better than the one they're currently using. All items are drugstore but like I said, they work for me. Let's take a look!

( Please excuse the awful photo quality - I am in the process of looking for a new camera)

At the beginning of February I was treat to a few days in Paris, by my friend, as a late Christmas/early Birthday present. Although I have been to France before, I have only been to 'Disneyland Paris' when I was younger - I have never actually seen the typical tourist attractions.

After getting checked into the hotel very late at night on the first day and being initially very disappointed with our room (both of us, i'm not just ungrateful, I promise!), we hoped our trip could only get better. We really wanted to make the most of our few days out there and see as many different places as we could. So, on our first full day in France we decided to do the most typically tourist thing first - see the Eiffel Tower!
