Roughly this time last year I featured the brand Stick to Stigu on my blog after I'd been in contact with the lovely Helena. Well, a couple of weeks ago Helena kindly contacted me asking if I would like to receive the Stigu 2017 planner. Of course after last years I jumped at the chance and today I'm going to show you the new hard cover design and see if there's any change from last year.

Back in my 'Guess Who's Back' post I mentioned that I was moving in with my boyfriend. Well, that blog post was actually 5 weeks ago now and our moving day week (we blagged it a bit) has been and gone. The boxes are in and I'm all settled so I thought I'd do a little post on what we've done with the place.

Although I haven't been blogging much recently I thought this would be a really good opportunity to jump back into it in style! Lucky for me, they even let me bring my Mr along to enjoy it all with me which means I can show you 2 options of each course from the meal!

Guess Who's Back

Guess Who's Back

Long time no see!

I can almost guarantee that, barring possibly about 2 of my subscribers, no one has noticed that my little blog stopped publishing posts. However, my last post was actually about 7 weeks ago and before that my posts had been a little off schedule shall we say. Short of giving you a half hearted apology and promising never to stray from my blog again there's not much more I can do other than give you a brief little life update and then get straight back on that blogging hype.

So, where have I been?

Well as I explained in my 'Prioritising' blog post back in May, I'm in a relationship. This has meant, in between working (onto this later), we make the most of seeing each other and actually going places! More excitingly, in approximately 4 weeks I am officially moving in with him (because lets face it I've practically lived here recently anyway) so we've been busy getting all sorts of things for that sorted too.

Back to working, I actually bagged myself a full time job back in July but have been keeping it quiet after the performance I explained in this post. I have now been working there for exactly 8 weeks today and can safely say I'm really enjoying it and love the staff! This does mean though, that I have remarkably less time for blogging as I can work anything from about 37-40 hours a week. By the time I get home at 6:45, cook tea and shower, I don't really have the energy to sit and write lengthy blog posts - as much as I'd like to.

I guess all that's left to do now I've given you an update is to get back on with blogging! I have a few posts in mind already - such as: one about our Dine In Style experience at Napoleons in Hull and a couple more on some products I have received such as Esquido lashes and Anatomicals face masks! There may even be a couple on the moving process if thats anything anyone would be interested in?!

Other than that how about you let me know of some blog posts you'd like to see?!

The older I get the more I'm starting to realise who is really there for me in life. This stands for both family and friends. Unfortunately, this is not always in a positive way. In fact, you could say that more often than not, I have to find out the hard way. The main pattern I'm starting to see emerge though, is that people are quick to butter you up and say they are there for you but when it comes down to it, they're quite clearly not.

The biggest lesson? ...

Read post
So, June is upon us (side note: where on earth did that come from?! Wasn't it Christmas like 2 weeks ago?) and today there is just under 2 weeks until Father's Day. Just like Mothering Sunday, Father's Day is used to show love and appreciation to the special father figure in your life - whether it be your biological Dad, a step Dad, Grandad or even Uncle! Now, unlike my Mum, my dad doesn't really appreciate the mushy gushy letter type thing so I thought instead, to represent Father's Day on my blog I would just settle for a good old gift guide. Then hopefully it will come in handy to one of you too!

Hello there, long time no see! Unfortunately, blogging has taken a bit of back seat recently and today actually marks 3 whole weeks without posting. I'll admit, part of me feels a bit disappointed in myself as I had got onto such a good schedule and it was having such a positive effect on my stats. On the other hand though, I don't regret it one bit.

As with everything in life, sometimes you just have to prioritise depending on what you have going on in your life at that current time. Personally, I would rather put my full heart and dedication into the things that are most important rather than trying to take on too many things at once and doing them all half-heartedly. This goes for my blog too, I would much rather post nothing at all then post something that I am not 100% happy with and could be done much better.

Some of you may remember back in November (was it really that long ago?!) I wrote a blog post entitled 'Think Before You Speak - Weight' where I spoke all about how, basically, people where commenting on my weight/size/body shape and how it was getting me down. The general gist was, I was constantly getting comments on how slim I was (am) and how I needed to eat more and 'put some meat on' but you can read it in full here if you wish. Funnily enough, I'm now getting the opposite and I'm beginning to wonder, can I win?

It's okay to change your mind

It's okay to change your mind
Wednesday, 13 April 2016
Read post
Very recently I've had a few decisions to make. Some bigger than others but all relatively in the same kind of field. Life choices if you will. Now, as always, with decisions comes opinions from others. Mostly negative, that I can live with. What gets me is the 'before' comments. You know, the '...but you didn't want to do that before' or the 'You liked that before' or even 'You said that before'. Sometimes people don't even need to say it, you just know it's racing through their minds.

This got me to thinking... why do people judge you for changing your mind? That was 'before', not now. Why is changing your mind such a bad thing? I admit I have been one to do this in the past but as I've gotten older I feel like I've grown out of it. However, this isn't the case for everyone.

Now this counts for a number of different situations, from the hobbies you have to the people you associate with and even to the foods you eat. Everyone changes their mind at some point surely? When you were younger you may have hated sports and then as an adult you may run marathons. One day you may love a certain drink and then a few weeks on your tastes may have changed. You may say you don't want to speak to someone but then circumstances may change and you could become closer than ever. That's just life. It's unpredictable and it's mad but you've got to roll with the punches.

Even more so, you may say something, change your mind and then change it back again. That's ok too.

"If you can't change your mind then you're not using it!"

So, I guess I'm just saying, it's okay to change your mind. Providing you are doing it for yourself.  Providing it makes you happy. Yes, people may have things to say, they may be confused and they may even be upset. But that's their problem, not yours.  You should never be made to feel bad for growing. It doesn't mean you've failed, you've lied or you're confused. It just means you've had a change of heart, change in taste or even a change in direction!

After all, as people often say, in the end we only regret the chances we didn't take. When you're older you're going to regret not doing things just because you were scared of what others may say.

Change your mind twenty times over, make new memories everyday - sometimes you may even make mistakes along the way. Never feel bad for your choices though, because at the time it was what you wanted.

A Letter To My Mum This Mother's Day

A Letter To My Mum This Mother's Day
Sunday, 6 March 2016
Read post
Today is Mother's Day in the United Kingdom - a day in which many people use to show their love and appreciation for the special lady in their life. This day is meant for honouring and thanking the Mother figure in your life for all they do all year round, whether it be your Mum, Nan, Aunt or any other Female Carer in your life. For some, this means showering their loved one with gifts and surprises, for others it's about simply spending the day with their loved one or giving them a 'day off' from their usual tasks. Every way is special and I think showing that appreciation (in any form) is truly lovely.

This year, as my blog has become a large part of my life, I wanted to include a part of our Mother's Day in the form of a post; A letter to my Mum this Mother's Day.
