Here's Why Staying In Is The New Going Out

Whether you’re planning your next date night, or thinking about having some quality time catching up with your mates, you may want to switch things up a little and have a night in, rather than an evening on the town. As our title suggested, staying in is the new going out, and here are the reasons why.

You can eat the food you want at home

Going out: Not only do you have to queue for a table when eating out (unless you booked ahead), but you also have to wait an age for the food to arrive. Not only that, but you have to make do with a hungry belly while you watch the people on the table next to you pigging out on their meal while you wait. They probably arrived after you as well, so how they got served first is a mystery.

Staying in: You may not be the best cook in the world, but that doesn’t matter. There are loads of food services available that will bring your meal to your door. Takeaway cuisine has really opened up in recent years, and the choices available to you now go beyond the traditional Chinese and Indian. There are loads of healthy options too!

You can see a great movie at home

Going out:
After arguing with your partner for an hour on what movie you want to see, you then need to pay an extortionate amount of money on the popcorn and drinks. When you finally get to see the film, there is a teenager constantly distracting you from the big screen with his miniature one, and the guy behind you insists on resting his feet on your headrest. Bah!

Staying in:
There are loads of streaming services available now, and the monthly subscription fee is probably cheaper than a cinema ticket. You are spoiled for choice with the range of movies and tv shows available, and you can easily whip up your own popcorn in the kitchen before settling down. Cuddle up to your loved one wearing nothing but your pyjamas, and binge watch whatever takes your fancy.

You can actually hear what your friends are saying

Going out: You have spent hours getting ready to go out, but when you queue up at the nightclub, the heavens open and your outfit gets ruined. When you finally get inside the club, the place is so crowded, and the music is so loud, you barely get the chance to see your friends through the haze, let alone speak to them. You see their mouths opening, but what they are saying is anybody’s guess. Those sign language classes suddenly seem like a very good idea.

Staying in: Have a house party with your friends, and have some quality time with them, eating, drinking, and getting merry. You can still get dressed up for the evening, with your favourite outfit, and possibly these fab Handmade Pearl Earrings which will be the envy of your friends. Play the music of your choice, and set up a corner of your house as an impromptu dance floor. It’s just you and your mates, without any crowds getting in the way of a good time. Result!
