As a couple of my recent blog posts suggest - I have absolutely fallen in love with wax melts and my rather large candle collection has become redundant. This week I managed to get my hands on another brand to try and so I thought I would tell you my thoughts so far and basically introduce you to... The Lonely Tarts Club.

So, Kallum and I have been engaged since August 2017 and honestly, we haven't really talked about it much since then. Until now. No plans are set in stone but Kals said book it and he'll be there and I've made a start on a guest list. Progress right? With wedding planning on the cards, a few things have already started becoming apparent so today I thought I'd share 5 thing's that I've noticed since I've we've started wedding planning.

3 Things We Didn't Think About When Buying a New Build

3 Things We Didn't Think About When Buying a New Build

When we found 'our house' there wasn't really much planning. Of course, we were living with my parents whilst saving for a mortgage so we knew we wanted to buy a house but it was a bit of a fluke getting the one we got. We basically went to look around a new development as a last minute thing to do on a day off and at the end of that day we had reserved a plot that was due for completion only a couple of months later. Buying a new build was perfect for us as we were able to use a smaller deposit and start from scratch without having to decorate etc ourselves. That being said though, there were a few things that slipped our mind about buying a new build...

As I mentioned in my recent Boston Park Farm post, when Kal and I have days off together, we are terrible for not knowing what to do with our days. That's why when someone mentioned The Purple Vouchers Book to Kallum, we thought it was an amazing idea - over £5000 worth of saving plus an array of new places we've never thought about before? Bingo! (and yes, there is even a voucher for bingo in there!) So if you live in the South or West Yorkshire areas and enjoy saving money then keep reading!

If I'm honest (and I don't think this will come as a shock to anybody) I am definitely more of an animal person than a people person. I would much rather sit and cuddle with the cats than entertain a room full of people. With that being said, today I thought I'd do a little introduction post to my little fur babies and share a few cute pictures of each of them! With all the house posts at the minute, I thought it was time to share what makes our little home complete. If you're not an animal person, this is about to get incredibly boring.

After knowing each other for about 10 years, being in a relationship for over 2 and engaged for 1, it's fair to say I have developed a few pet peeves over time. They're highly annoying and/or embarrassing but regardless, I thought for comedy value, it was time to share 5 of them with you all!

Little by little, each room in our house is beginning to look a little less like a tip and a bit more liveable. As it's the room we use the most, the living room seems to be the first and although it still needs some finishing touches, I thought I would share it with you and let you know where we purchased some pieces from!

When me and Kallum have time off together our biggest problem is thinking of stuff to do. This often results in us Googling 'things to do in our area' and hoping for the best. This time, we were actually successful and stumbled upon 'Boston Park Farm'. With it being the summer holidays we decided to get Kallums sister and her children to come along and go see if it was any good - and as always, I've decided to blog about it!

5 things I missed when I moved back in with my parents

5 things I missed when I moved back in with my parents

So, as I'm sure I've mentioned before, in order to save for a mortgage we had to hand in our notice on our rented house and move in with my parents. Obviously we are both incredibly grateful that they would allow this and without them letting us, we wouldn't have managed to save a deposit in just 7 months, but there were a few things that we realised after living alone and then moving back home. Kallum hadn't lived at home since he was 17/18 and I had been moved out for over a year so it was definitely a change! Today I thought I would list some of those things to reminisce.

5 things I've learned since moving out

5 things I've learned since moving out

When I lived at home, my mum did literally everything for me. She washed my clothes, cooked my food and even tidied my room. With that in mind, it's not much of a surprise that moving out was a huge eye opener for me. That being said, I think I handled it pretty well. My partner does things like dealing with bill companies and putting out the bins but everything else, is really taken care of by me. (I like it this way - it keeps me busy) That's why today I thought I would create a little list of things that I have learned since moving out and would love to hear of anything you guys have learned too!
